The Manufacturer, June 2013:
Prime Minister David Cameron invited Birmingham-based coffee-machine maker Fracino to supply the G8 summit.
Fracino, which scooped EEF’s Winner of Winners and Export prizes at an awards ceremony earlier this year, is a 42-strong SME.
10 Downing Street ordered 11 of Fracino’s coffee machines to make drinks for leaders at the G8 summit, hosted by the UK this week.
The Piccino coffee machines were installed in the lodges of the international leaders – including Mr Cameron who now uses a Fracino machine in Number 10. Each was engraved with a Union Jack and branded ‘Made in Britain’.
Fracino’s MD, Adrian Maxwell commented on the honour of supplying the G8 summit. “The concept of the world’s global leaders enjoying their coffee from our machines is amazing. It likewise reinforces our commitment to constantly innovating and striving for world class manufacturing standards.”
Fracino celebrates its 50 year anniversary this year and has been growing internationally since 2008.
It exports to 50 countries across five continents and plans to build its export team this year following a £1m investment to expand manufacturing capacity.
